About

A Little Background Information

My name is Julie Ann Bryant. I’m 50 years old and was diagnosed in May 2008 with a grade III anaplastic oligodendroglioma. In 2016, during a routine check-up I found out I had a recurring tumor. At the end of 2016, I had surgery which removed most of the tumor, but during recovery, I suffered s stroke. After stayed in intensive care for a week and then was transferred to rehabilitation for a month. I’m now home. I am one of the more fortunate people to be diagnosed with such a debilitating disease.

I’m a mother to four children and a grandmother of eight. My husband Jeff has made incredible sacrifices for me throughout all of this and I’d like to give a special “thank you” to him.

My Mission

“The Julie A. Bryant Foundation was created to bridge the gap between insurance coverage and the very real financial burdens caused by the day-to -day lifestyle necessities of dealing with brain cancer and its effects. Our objective is to assist those who have lost their independence and to help them regain a sense of normalcy..”

My Motivation

Luckily, I have some of the best friends, family & doctors that anyone could ask for. So, one might ask why someone in my situation would want to spend as much time, effort & money into creating a foundation?

Well, the answer is simple. I am lucky enough to be blessed with what I have and I want to help those who are less fortunate than I. Much of my motivation to create this foundation is due to Noah Wolfe, a lovely young boy, who went long before his time. In addition, my motivation stems from those around me and their constant support. I love you all & thank you again for always being there when I needed you!

For the past 7 years we have donated and raised money for the National Brain Tumor Society for research and the Patient’s Help Fund. Now, I want a more personal touch, I want to be able to raise money and help those with medical needs, children with brain tumors & the National Brain Tumor Society in its research and development efforts.

Furthermore, my friends and family have pulled together to help me create this foundation which I hope will be able to raise a lot of money to help people in need. Let’s all pull together for some great events for an even better cause. If you cannot come to the events, a donation would be appreciated. If you can come, we will need some help.
