Julie A. Bryant, president and founder of The Julie A. Bryant Foundation, embarked on her mission to aid those suffering with brain tumors in 2008, when she was diagnosed with a grade 3 anaplastic oligodendroglioma. After raising funds for another organization, Julie decided to establish her own foundation in 2013, so that she could better direct where funds would be allocated. A native of Maine, Julie has lived in Pittsburgh since 2003. She has a background in banking and insurance, having worked in Maine at Kora Temple A.A.O.N.M.S., a Shriners organization; the Patrons Oxford Mutual Insurance Company and People Heritage Bank, among others. From 1995 to 2003, Julie served in multiple capacities at Hebron Academy, a private Maine college preparatory school. She has been employed at Wexford-based 3 Rivers Ice Cream Services in accounts receivable since January 2004. Julie enjoys spending time with her husband Jeffrey and son Michael in Pittsburgh and, when in Maine, with sons Jeffrey Jr., Troy and Chad. Julie and Jeff are members of Orchard Hill Church.
